Karachi PSL 2020 Schedule – According to the PSL 5 schedule 2020 – Karachi to host the first match between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United. More exciting games are coming at National Stadium, especially the Qualifier match of playoffs. National Stadium Karachi
National Stadium Karachi – is located in the center of the 3rd largest city of the world, Karachi, Pakistan. The ground is home ground to Karachi Kings and all domestic cricket in Sindh. The ground has a capacity of 34228 crowds that increased just after the renovation of the stadium recently.
National Stadium Karachi’s first test match played between Pakistan and Indian on April 21, 1955. The ground hosted a total of 34 test matches since its inauguration, of which Pakistan won 17 games. The rest of the test match drawn, and Pakistan never was beaten by any team until 2000. Pakistan has only defeated at their National stadium – England defeated host in their tour of the country.
National Stadium Karachi has hosted a quarter-final of ICC Cricket World Cup 1997 and has the number of records on the list. The ground has witnessed legendary Sir Viv Richards 181 runs innings against Sri Lanka during the 1987 ICC Cricket World Cup. Mohammad Yousaf achieved a milestone of 11 centuries in a calendar year and broke the record of Sir Viv Richards.
National Stadium Karachi seating capacity increased after the renovation and reconstruction of different stands. The redevelopment of the stadium started back in 2015, and upgradation increased the crowd capacity from 27000 to 34000 spectators. The upgradation changed the look of dressing rooms, fitting rooms, staff areas, and some enclosures designed nicely.
The upgradation of the enclosures and roof installations changed the seating map of the ground. The compounds from the gate one till gate 11 of National Stadium Karachi – seating chart differ entirely from the old look of the stadium. The roof installation will change the entire before and after rain scenes of the ground. You are completely under the roof even its raining outside, and there is no need to bring umbrellas in adverse weather.
