The only wicket of Shane Watson became the reason for the Sultan in their 3r consecutive win of the tournament. The way Gladiators started their innings with maximums, and sensible per over required run-rate chase took closer to the total. Shane Watson 80 runs innings of 41 balls took them over the line, and things were looking under-control, but his dismissal lost control over the game.
Rilee Rossouw 43 Balls Century
While batting first at Multan Cricket Stadium, the host team scored 199 runs with the loss of five wickets. James Vince fell earlier after scoring 29 runs off 24 balls with a settled platform. Shan Masood holds control over innings taking wickets in hand and playing innings defensively. Rilee kept on rotating the strike with the skipper and held one wicket intending to avoid further wicket loss. Quetta was at 57/1 in 6.4 when Roy went back to pavilion after scoring 30 runs off 27 balls. Shane Watson decided to take innings as long as possible and stayed increase taking full responsibility on his shoulders.
Multan Sultans almost found it impossible for herself until Watson stayed on the crease as they were 139/4 when he fell. Imran Tahir flighted delivery, and he charged on to take cover six but caught in deep. The only moment when Sultan found a chance of their comeback as Shane almost took away from them. Quetta lost their way in maintaining the required run-rate filled chart and fell short 31 runs in the chase of 200 runs.
